Teaneck Residence - New construction
A new 5,000 square foot home was designed to fit in with its charming tree-lined street and neighbors and to accomodate the active lifestyle of its owner. The basement features an extra-high ceiling to allow for an indoor basketball court. The first floor has a 2 1/2 story sunny entry hall with a charming living room and dining room on either side of it. At the rear is a side entrance mud room, guest room with full bathroom and a generous sunny kitchen, dinette, powder room, butler's pantry and den. A large patio off the dinette leads to the sunny backyard. The second floor has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large laundry room plus a generous master bedroom/bathroom suite. Open stairs to the attic lead to a large, sunny home office. On the exterior: the stone and wood shingle look, the portico with columns and the wrought iron entry door - all combine to add grace and charm to this new home.

Teaneck Residence - Addition
A loving addition to a 1913 home shows great respect to the home's original details. On the first floor a new side entrance/mud room, dinette, large kitchen, open home office, den, guest bedroom and a full bathroom were added. The stairs to the second floor were changed to a straight run stair, allowing for a hallway from the front entry to the kitchen located in the rear. The second floor went from 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom to now include a new master bedroom/bathroom suite. The attic floor also features an open stair with a generous landing, an oval south facing window, 2 large bedrooms and a full bath. The original exterior brackets at the roof overhangs were replicated and interior ceiling beams oringinally found in the dining room were replicated in the kitchen and dinette ceiling, respecting the original details of this century-old home.
Another charming 1913 home with a front porch was lovingly added on to. A new side entrance mudroom, kitchen, dinette, den and bathroom were added on the first floor. The second floor, which originally had 4 bedrooms and 1 bathroom, now has 4 bedrooms 2 bathrooms plus a new master bedroom/bathroom suite. The attic, which already had a guest bedroom and full bathroom, now also has a large, open, sunny home office. The exterior first floor wood shingles and second floor stucco and tudor board design were seamlessly continued in the addition. The existing dining room ceiling beams were replicated in the new first floor den ceiling and oval windows enhance the charm of the house's period details.
A charming center hall colonial was added on to with great care. The entry door received a new bracketed overhang, and in the interior the oringinal small dining room on one side of the entry hall was enlarged to be the same size as the living room on the opposite side of the entry hall. At the rear of the house is a new side entry/mud room, an open kitchen, dinette and den room with large patio doors facing the sunny backyard. An enclosed home office and powder room are also on the first floor. The existing second floor 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms has now become 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms plus a full master bedroom/bathroom suite. There is an open stair from the den to a large childrens' playroom in the basement, which has a higher ceiling than the original basement.
A small charming home on a street where many similar homes were knocked down and replaced with behemoth, was caringly restored and added on to. On the first floor a new porch with a side entrance into the house was added. The original garage was enclosed to allow for a generous home office, and at the rear of the house, a sunny, large kitchen with an open den and a full bathroom were added. On the second floor the original 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom now also include a generous master bedroom/bathroom suite. The original curve of the roof and dormer window at the front of the house were enhanced by the new charming front porch which includes stone, wood railings and an oval window.
Jersey Shore Synagogue Renovation
A synagogue on the Jersey shore with a dwindling year-round membership but vibrant summer community is adapting to their members' needs. Currently located in two adjoining buildings, they will incorporate a social hall, kitchen and Rabbi's office into their oversized sanctuary building. This will allow them to sell the adjoining building which currently houses these functions, helping to pay for the renovation without putting a financial burden on their members. The original wooden pews and ark will be reused in the new eastward orientation.
